WHAT: Jewels and Pinstripes is creating gift bags for THE HIGH HOPES TRIBUTE DINNER which will be held at the Adam’s Mark Hotel in Denver, Colorado. The High Hopes Tribute Dinner is an event of the Children’s Diabetes Foundation and WB2 Gives, a fund of the McCormick Tribune Foundation. HOW

WHO: Honoree is Barbara Davis, founder of the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes and the Children's Diabetes Foundation, whose leadership and dedication has created the leading center for type 1 (insulin dependent) diabetes in the nation and worldwide.

The major sponsors of the event include: Toys "R" Us Children's Fund, Inc., Michael Jultak Florists and Adam's Mark Hotel. Mrs. Davis and her husband Marvin Davis (who died in 2004), began the Foundation and the Barbara Davis Center in 1977 when their youngest daughter was diagnosed with diabetes. The Center now cares for over 5,000 children and young adults and the Foundation has raised over $70 million from inception to support the Center's programs of care, research and diabetes education.
