The High Hopes Tribute Dinner

WHAT: Jewels and Pinstripes is creating gift bags for THE HIGH HOPES TRIBUTE DINNER which will be held at the Adam’s Mark Hotel in Denver, Colorado. The High Hopes Tribute Dinner is an event of the Children’s Diabetes Foundation and WB2 Gives, a fund of the McCormick Tribune Foundation.

HOW MANY PRODUCTS: 600 for attendees comprised of social and business leaders and major press from the metropolitan Denver area.

WHO: Honoree is Barbara Davis, founder of the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes and the Children's Diabetes Foundation, whose leadership and dedication has created the leading center for type 1 (insulin dependent) diabetes in the nation and worldwide.

Featuring comedic legend, Bob Newhart, currently appearing on “Desperate Housewives? and recording artist/actress Renee Olstead, a discovery of multi-Grammy® winning music producer David Foster (who sky rocketed the careers of Josh Groban, Celine Dion and Michael Buble).

Benefits: Donor will have name in program if item is approved by August 26, 2005, Name mentioned in press releases, Receive free seats to the event, Name/Logo mentioned in Chairman's speech or on display during the event on the video screen.  A gift card will be enclosed in the gift bag recognizing the generosity of the donor. The donor will also receive a complimentary ad in the High Hopes Tribute Dinner Journal. Ad is due by August 30th.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS: The High Hopes Tribute Dinner to be held October 1, 2005 is a high profile Denver event now in it's third year. The major sponsors of the event include: Toys "R" Us Children's Fund, Inc., Michael Jultak Florists and Adam's Mark Hotel.

Mrs. Davis and her husband Marvin Davis (who died in 2004), began the Foundation and the Barbara Davis Center in 1977 when their youngest daughter was diagnosed with diabetes. The Center now cares for over 5,000 children and young adults and the Foundation has raised over $70 million from inception to support the Center's programs of care, research and diabetes education.
